My debut novel, Wild Moon Rising, is out June 2025 with Akan Books, a new imprint from HarperCollins. I have also been published in Kit de Waal’s celebrated Common People – An Anthology of Working-Class Writers, and in various independent publications and magazines. I am a prize-winning short story and memoir writer, and an associate artist with the National Writing Centre and also feature as a Case Study. I have also written and performed short scripts for an Arts Council-funded production, CounterCulture.

Alongside being an author, I am an editor, mentor, manuscript assessor, copywriter, copyeditor and proofreader with over 25 years’ experience both in-house and freelance for a variety of major publishing houses, independents, educational publishers and corporate publications. I have worked with and for Jericho Writers, the TLC and independently for my editorial business.

I have chaired panels for literary festivals and held panels and workshops on rejection and resilience and finding an agent, among other facets of the publishing and writing life. I’ve also taught creative writing in prisons, and in higher education.

I am currently writing my second novel.
