I am a translator, mainly of German poetry into English, and also an academic writer. I have published bilingual collections of several German poets, including Ernst Meister, Rose Auslaender, Paul Celan, and Nelly Sachs, the latter two in chapbook form. Many of my academic works are in the field of style and translation: see, for example Translation and Style – 2nd Edition – Jean Boase-Beier – Routledge Boo
I also research and write on the translation of Holocaust poetry: see, for example, Translating the Poetry of the Holocaust: Translation, Style and the Reader: Bloomsbury Advances in Translation Jean Boase-Beier Bloomsbury Academic – Bloomsbury.
I have been Translations Editor for Arc Publications since 2000; there are a number of interviews with Arc translators on ArcPub – YouTube
