Jacqueline Day

Writer

Fledgeling writer wallowing in my 60s, seeking representation/publication. I have two completed novels, both having undergone professional editing and polishing; my contemporary women’s fiction novel ‘Nina Gander Duck or Panda’ and ‘Slate Heart’, my historical fiction novel set in 19th century Wales. Samples of both are available for review with Libraro.

I studied creative writing in the 1970s and had travel features published in various county magazines before life’s mundane needs became urgent. Diversion into the NHS lasted longer than planned and when I hit sixty, I decided it was ‘now or never’ to write my stories. In May 2025, I fled my NHS oncology PA role and finished my first novel. I live on the outskirts of London and have enjoyed a somewhat nomadic existence around England and Wales over the years, but crave return to a more rural setting, being a country girl at heart.
