After two years of journalism, I graduated with an MA in Creative Writing (Distinction) from Nottingham Trent University (2007). Since then, I have had 6 middle grade books traditionally published, mostly science fiction. Around sixty short stories sold, either in my name or ghost-written commissions. My graphic short was in an anthology nominated for 2 Eisner awards. I mentor emerging writers, run workshops on speculative fiction, visit schools. From 2017 to 2020 I was a monthly guest on Notts TV speaking about local literary events. The Malta Government invited me over in 2019 as a guest of honour at their children’s book festival. Other credits include acting as a charity’s local literacy ambassador and running the 2013 Festival of Words, a three-week countywide celebration.

As Left Lion’s stage editor, I support our thriving local theatre with reviews and interviews. Several of my travel memoirs have also gained publication.
