Hello! I’m an aspiring author in the process of writing my first book. This will be about my journey recovering from an eating disorder while living in rural Somerset.

Some background

I graduated in 2022 with a first-class degree in English Literature from the University of Reading, where I wrote an award-winning dissertation on the portrayal of birds in Romantic poetry, with focus on the emergence of contemporary nature writing.

Currently, I’m halfway through my MA degree in Travel and Nature Writing taught at Bath Spa University by Jonathan Lorie, Gail Simmons, Amanda Tuke and, until recently, Stephen Moss.

My work has been published in Bird Watching and I have recently been been longlisted for the Wild Muse Nature Writing Prize for an essay relating to my memoir. 

Alongside my studies and freelance work, I work full time as a travel copywriter.
