Heather Jo Reed is a prizewinning author of crime/thriller fiction and short stories based in the City of Bristol, UK. Her short stories have appeared in magazines, newspapers and anthologies nationwide, and she gives regular readings and talks in and around Bristol. 

After a career beginning in research, she went on to lecture in psychology and criminology and,  after gaining a Masters in creative writing,  in the arts and creative writing.

In 2021 she decided to focus on crime writing full time. Her DI Crow series is published by Inkubator Books.
