Gary is a children’s author, editor and doodler whose work has appeared in numerous books, magazines and websites. His middle-grade fiction debut, The Notwitches, is the first book in a hilarious series published by Chicken House. Some of Gary’s other authored work includes The Ultimate Challenge Book and The Best Would You Rather Book, and he has written and illustrated two children’s art books for Tate Publishing. He has also worked on books for hit kids’ brands including Hey Duggee, Bluey, The Beano, LEGO and many others.

In previous lives Gary has been a movie reviewer, a football reporter and a presenter on local TV. After living in London for much of his career, he is now based back in his hometown of Perth in Scotland.
