Gareth L. Powell is an award-winning British novelist, whose work has been translated into eleven languages. To date, he is the author of twenty-two books, thirteen of which are novels.

Powell’s novel, Embers of War, won the 2018 British Science Fiction Association Award for Best Novel and was a finalist for the Locus and Seiun Awards. His novel, Ack-Ack Macaque won the 2013 British Science Fiction Association Award for Best Novel and was a finalist for the Seiun Award. He has also been shortlisted for the British Fantasy Award, the Premio Italia, and Premios Ignotus.

Powell is a proud father and grandfather, and is married to the American author Jendia Gammon, with whom he runs Stars and Sabers Publishing, serving as Managing Editor for the imprint.

He is a popular guest for events, workshops and podcasts, and is represented in all professional matters by literary agent Lucienne Diver at The Knight Agency.
