Gareth L. Powell is an award-winning British novelist, whose work has been translated into twelve languages. To date, he is the author of twenty-two published books.

His work encompasses science fiction, horror-tinged police procedural, and speculative thriller. He has twice won the British Science Fiction Association Award for Best Novel and has been a finalist for the Locus, Seiun, British Fantasy, Canopus, Premio Italia, and Premios Ignotus awards.

Born and raised in Bristol, Gareth started writing at a young age and received early mentoring from Diana Wynne Jones and Helen Dunmore. He has since gone on to co-write stories with best-selling authors Aliette de Bodard and Peter F. Hamilton.

When not writing, he serves as an Associate Editor at Stars and Sabers Publishing, and is a proud father and doting grandfather.
