I write about trees, forestry, and the environment. My first and award-winning book The New Sylva was published by Bloomsbury in 2014 and reprinted in 2021. I wrote two editions of The Tree Almanac  with Robinson Books. I recently completed a triptych of guidebooks featuring 1000+ forest sites across Britain in The Forest Guide series (Bloomsbury Wildlife). I’m currently working on two tree field guides. I’ve also written two novels, released two short story collections, and a poetry anthology. On my Substack I am releasing a serialised novel Read Me. My short stories have been included in two anthologies.
