Like many colleagues I translate and have translated commercial documents ranging from planning, contracts, patents, to business agreements, promotional materials and websites.
However, my specialisms, experience and interests are rooted in the humanities and socio-political issues. Being fully bilingual, I have frequently handled material indifferently from French into English or the reverse for the same clients.
I have translated documents for trade unions, humanitarian organisations and political websites. I also masterminded the translation of a French government tome on Democratic Governance.
My translations also figure in a number of art books, where my knowledge of Italian also played a part.
Much of my work answers to academic research, rooted in history but intent on pluri-disciplinary input.
Literature is my first love. Some novel translations slumber in my drawers while several poems by Adam Horovitz figure with my translation in Apulée n.6
