I’m a Warwickshire-based author and probably-retired English teacher who wrote and published short pieces of fiction, non-fiction and poetry for many years before deciding to make a little more effort.

’Miss, What Does Incomprehensible Mean?’, my funny teacher-memoir, was published by SPCK in 2020.

’Cuckoo in the Nest’, my first full-length novel, was runner-up for the Paul Torday Memorial Prize 2024. The book came out with Legend Press in April 2023 in paperback, e-book and audio. It features a teenage protagonist, Jackie Chadwick – foster child, intelligent and sharp, and a talented poet. A second book featuring Jackie will be published in March 2025.
