I recently retired as an EU staff translator and editor (English mother tongue) to work as a freelance translator specialising in: literary fiction, crime fiction, narrative non-fiction, biographies and travel books. I also translate anything medical, having started my working life as a health professional (in South Africa).

Noteworthy projects include driving the EU’s Clear Writing Campaign (I wrote the booklet “Claire’s Clear Writing Tips”) and translating the Dorling  Kindersley Eyewitness Guide to Norway, multiple editions of which have been published.
