I am a 2024 Debut Picture Book writer. My first book is called The Twirly Wiggly Dance. 

About the book: “Little Intisar has a BIG job at her Auntie Mahira’s wedding: she’s going to dance in the group performance!

As she practises, she realizes there’s one dance move that she just can’t do—no matter how hard she twirls and wiggles. Intisar worries she’ll ruin the whole routine and disappoint Auntie Mahira.

Can Intisar’s family of movers and groovers show her that being herself is far more fun than being perfect?

The Twirly Wiggly Dance is a relatable story about finding your own groove, with the celebratory backdrop of a South Asian wedding. This story is loosely based on author Farrah Riaz’s own childhood experiences and beautifully illustrated by Navya Raju.”

Meanwhile, I also like writing short middle-grade stories, and I am currently working on adult novels set in a near future soft alt Sci-Fi universe.
