About Me

My aim is to inspire children to enjoy reading, writing and drawing through my workshops and books. I’ve recently written a chapter book with a strong female Muslim central character who has a very big imagination, and I’m currently approaching agents with the text (and some fun doodle style illustrations). I also write picture books, and I’d love to create more drawing and activity books following my series with Quarto. I use a combination of Procreate and Photoshop for my art.

Books

I Can Draw series Walter Foster Junior (Quarto)

I created the concept and wrote and illustrated this series of 10 step-by-step drawing books with subjects including wild animals, pets, dinosaurs and fairytales. The English language versions are selling internationally and there are several co-editions.

Workshops

I run popular comics and illustration workshops for schools, SEND settings and other organisations in London and beyond, including Discover Children’s Story Centre, Museum of the Home, and the Sharjah International Book Fair. 

Other Work

My early career was in fashion design and I’m now a Creative Engagement Librarian, involved with projects, events and marketing for the library service.
