I was born in Wiltshire on the 28th April 1960.

My late mother was the Poet and Children’s Novelist Aileen Boyd-Otley aka ‘The Green Lady of Europe’ (1931-2015) a title given to her by a family friend – Sir John Betjeman the Poet Laureate.

Apart from being a novelist, and an historian, I am also a Poet/Performance Poet and have appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe and in the lovely city of York. I mainly perform poetry from my published collection: ‘Mother Nature’s Psalter’ (1979-to the present). I gained my English Degree at York University – where I also did some acting…I appeared in ‘EMMERDALE’ – you must have seen me…surely?

You may have guessed by now that I am a WORKAHOLIC!

At present I am working on my ‘Coriander Chronicles’ a set of fantasy novels (six so far) which are set in the English Lake District, York, and on the beautiful Solway coast of Cumbria. I write mainly fantasy/science fiction for children/young adults. My poetry reflects the tranquil, prayerful beauty of the natural world around us.

I write mainly about the English Lake District, the Solway coast, and Yorkshire.

I am responsible for my late mothers’ literary estate.
