Clare Myatt is a senior somatic coach-therapist working internationally with clients in person and online. She helps people navigate challenge and change with grounded, body-based awareness and compassion.
Clare’s first book (2018) Love & Imperfection: A Therapist’s Story is an intimate memoir about her brave journey with Vietnam Vet client Bill. Both struggled with trauma, shame and addiction. Both changed. Relying on profound honesty, transparency and vulnerability, together they unwittingly experienced the healing power of love/agape. This revealing, poignant story will inspire those in the healing profession, as well as anyone interested in personal transformation.
Her second book (2026) How the Door Closes – Skilful Endings in Coaching and Therapy explores the complexity of bringing professional relationships to a close. Prompted by an ending that could have evolved into a formal complaint, she examines endings through the lens of Dr Richard Strozzi-Heckler’s Rhythm of Energy, Dr Eugene Gendlin’s Focusing, ethical frameworks, and practitioners’ lived experience. The author offers ways to contract with the end in mind, to remain conscious of concluding throughout the work, and to complete at the right time and in the right way for each unique client engagement.
