Chris Penhall writes uplifting stories set in gorgeous places.
Bio
Chris has written six traditionally published novels, the first of which, The House That Alice Built won the Choc-Lit Search for a Star Competition in 2019. She is currently working on her 7th book.
A freelance radio and podcast producer, Chris worked for BBC Essex for many years, doing a range of things including sometimes talking on air, including on the BBC Essex Helpline and as an occasional stand in for the BBC Essex Quest, as well as being out and about for Children in Need, making packages, booking guests and organising events and outside broadcasts. She also presented and produced four one-hour radio documentaries for the station – three on salsa and one on comedy in Essex. Basically, Chris loves stories and finding different ways of telling them. She was an Associate Producer for the Richard and Judy Podcast for Jibba Jabba Pods for 9 years until 2020, and also regularly interviews authors for the Essex Book Festival.
