After a master’s degree in English obtained from Université Jean Monnet, Saint-Étienne in 2011, I worked for 7 years at independent bookshop La Librairie du Tramway in Lyon. During this time I chaired multiple events both in the bookshop and at international literary festivals, wrote reviews and interview pieces for booksellers’ magazine Page des Libraires, and sat on the judging panel of booksellers’ prize Prix des Libraires in 2017. In 2017, I also started as a freelance reader for the French publishing industry.

I moved to Islay in the Hebrides in 2018, where I work part-time as manager of the book section at The Celtic House. I started as a literary translator in 2020, signing my first contract only a few months into my literary translation course with CETL (Centre européen de traduction littéraire). I obtained my diploma in February 2025 with first-class honours (grade: 91/100).

In December 2022, I became Chair of the Islay Book Festival. The Bookseller Magazine nominated me among their Rising Stars Class of 2024. I was selected to take part in the Secret Life of Books, Pan Macmillan’s publishing mentorship, in summer 2024.
