I am a translator from German to English and occasionally Swedish to English. I am based in Durham, England.
I have been working as a commercial translator from German to English since 2005.
My first full length literary translation (Zen in the Garden by Miki Sakamoto, Scribe) appeared in 2023. And I have enjoyed translation audio books in genre fiction (Forgive and Forget by Swantje Oppermann, Audible 2025). I have also translated several craft and lifestyle books for American publishers.
Excepts of literary translation and book reviews have been published in magazines, e.g., World Literature Today, Swedish Book Review, No Man’s Land and Lunch Ticket.
Additionally, I also provide sample translations of book excerpts (predominantly for German publishers) and provide professional reader’s reports.
Most recently published sample translations are Mirja Lanz – They Flew By Night in WLT, Nora Khalil – Yani in Swedish Book Review and Carina Burman – Death Takes a Holiday in WLT.
