I’ve been a professional editor since 1992, and now that I’m semi-retired I’m at last beginning to fulfil my dream of joining the ranks of those who’ve used my service over the years. For me,  the challenges are:

• writing is much harder work than editing; 
• even though editing is an underpaid and underrated profession, the financial risk of authorship is off the scale; 
• writing’s a lot scarier than editing, because it’s not just one known person who’ll be critiquing the work that I’ve put my heart and soul into, but many and varied.

So, all in all, I greatly look forward to meeting you all and learning about the delights of writing.
