Bryan J Mason has worked as a financial investigator, mediator and at one time made sound effects for BBC radio drama. He is now a full time crime writer. His first book, Shaking Hands With The Devil, was published 30 years after its first draft. The second book in his black comedy crime series set in Northern Ireland during the Troubles, Dead On, was published on 5 November 25. It continues the story of Harry & The Squad which began in An Old Tin Can. The final part of the trilogy will be the enigmatically titled There Are No Happy Endings.
He is a member of the Crime Writers Association and Historical Writers Association.
He also writes regular theatre reviews for StageTalk magazine and Bristol 24/7
He is married with two children in their twenties. He says he likes nothing better than hanging around in graveyards, which he thinks should come in handy one day.
