A bilingual English-French artist, author and illustrator I have worked since the 1990s with English,  French and American publishers, with over 30 picture books published in different countries.

I continue to be fascinated by all that we humans share in common both across cultures, and across millennia from prehistoric times to the present.  My most recent picture books are Mo’s Best Friend, A Stone Age Story (Otter Barry Books), which was shortlisted for the Historical Society’s Young Quills Award 2025,  and You, Me and Our Whole Wide World (Walker Books).

I live and work between Cambridge, London and France and alongside developing more picture books, I am working on a non-fiction graphic project for adults, samples of which can be seen online on The Artists’ Child.

After a degree in Chinese and Art History at King’s Cambridge, I moved to France where I studied painting and copied at the Louvre, translated art books and taught for over a decade in an international art school in Paris, where I have also exhibited my work.

With a long experience of school, library and festival visits in the UK, France and as far away as China’s Bookworm festival,  I have an enhanced DBS and follow Society of Author’s fee guidelines in the UK, and La Charte des Auteurs et Illustrateurs guidelines in France.
