Birgit Berg writes dark fiction where every choice has weight. Her work spans epic fantasy and psychologically layered stories exploring loyalty, integrity and moral consequence. Fast-moving and multi-perspective, her narratives are built on moral tension and the lasting cost of choice.
She is the author of The Magia Trilogy (Lupidae, Drachion, Ekvilibro), the opening trilogy in the Whispers and Legacy universe, available in Dutch and English in print and ebook, and in English as an audiobook.
Her short story De Heks van Gorkum was shortlisted for the 2025 Harland Prize, placing 6th out of 267 entries. The Magia Trilogy received an endorsement from internationally published fantasy author Stan Nicholls.
She is currently working on The Seer of Kischmet, the first novel in The Kischmet Chronicles. The book can be read as a standalone while also opening the second trilogy within the wider Whispers and Legacy universe.
