I’m an award-winning literary translator and editor working from Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian into English. My areas of expertise lie in literary and commercial fiction, short stories, and poetry—as well as literary and creative non-fiction—and my clients range from commercial to indie publishers, scouts, and agents. I have a sharp eye and a natural flair for language, and I work scrupulously to make a text sing in English, whether that’s through translation, copy editing or line editing. I also have experience working on international co-productions and adaptations as a script writer.
I was the winner of the PEN Grant For The English Translation Of Italian Literature 2025 for my translation of ARCADE by Alessandra Mureddu, and my work has been supported by the Fondation Jan Michalski, PEN America, and English PEN. I was the winner of the inaugural Janklow & Nesbit David Bellos Translation Prize for my translation of Carla Nyman’s IN THE FLESH.
