I have been helping people tell their stories for twenty-five years, either as a ghostwriter, through newspapers and magazines, via broadcast media or as a host at literature festivals. 

A postgraduate degree in broadcast journalism led me to the BBC and various independent production companies. As a producer I have worked across the UK for BBC 5 Live, Radio 2, Radio 4 and local stations in Yorkshire. I have produced almost everything from celebrity interviews to deep dives into global religious wrongdoing. 

My first ghostwriting opportunity happened when I wrote an article about former paramedic, Georgina Hurst. After an horrific car crash caused by her boyfriend, Georgina rebuilt her life from scratch, learning to walk, talk and eat again. She is now a pole dancer. When Georgina read the piece, she asked me if I’d help with her book. ‘Unbroken: The Woman who Walked Again’ was published in 2021 by Scratching Shed Publishing.

I then received a message from a man called Richie. He was ready to share his own truth, but didn’t know how or where to start. We spoke, I listened and over the following months he entrusted me with his story of abuse, childhood prostitution and the failing care system. His book ‘Richie: Who Cares?’ was published (again, by Scratching Shed Publishing) in 2022 and became a best-seller in it’s genre on amazon.

Since then, I have worked on a variety of projects from lifestyle books to family legacies. I firmly believe there is a home for every story and it is my mission to help people find the best fit for for theirs. As long as there’s a tale to tell, my ears and heart will always be open and my keyboard and microphone ready.
