Barry Lillie earned his writing stripes working in and writing for the stage. Previously a professionally trained actor with performances varying from Shakespearean theatre to TV. He also worked for several years bringing theatre to schools and touring internationally. His love for adventure has seen him trekking through the jungle in Borneo, being kidnapped by mistake in the Middle East and even eating pizza in Naples!

His writing career moved from scripts to feature writing for several international magazines as a features and travel writer based in Italy. He moved from inhouse magazine and freelancing to fiction writing using his script writing skills to focus on dialogue driven stories. As an avid observer of people and places, his fiction concentrates on the dramas of real life through friendships and relationships. He also enjoys taking darker subject matters and injecting them with humour.
