B. R. Scott began writing when she was nine, and always had a passion for true crime, ghosts, and the landscape. After gaining an archaeology degree wrangling skeletons at the University of Winchester in 2014, she decided to leave for the west of Scotland to follow her husband who served as a submariner in the Royal Navy.
Finding archaeology thin on the ground, she worked as a successful freelance copywriter and spent her spare time exploring rugged hills and lochs, never forgetting the thrill of a good soil sample. Researching the murderous history of her local area rekindled her love of the genre, and she now writes crime and horror fiction from her home near Loch Lomond.
