I’ve made a substantial contribution to the UK and international security and to individual and societal data protection in three areas: launch of the UK Resilience Centre in 2006, contribution to the UK Defence communications review in 2014 for the Cabinet Office, and my work in preparing both the public and private sectors for GDPR implementation from 2017 as well as the wider work on data protection and privacy through Henley Business School and as Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Data Protection & Privacy – listed in 2021 on the prestigious global abstract and citation academic database Scopus. Operational experience for two NYSE-listed companies as Global Privacy Officer. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Member of The Security Institute, Fellow of Information Privacy (IAPP), and elected member of BAFTA. Appointed Co-Chair, Professional Standards Panel, CIPR (2023) and CIPR Qualifications Syllabus Review Consultant (2024).
