I have been writing for and editing magazines related to British history for 20 years, and worked as an editor for nearly 30; I have also written, compiled or published numerous history-related books. I am currently editor of Discover Your Ancestors plus the British Association for Local History’s Local History News. My ‘day job’ is helping publishers and non-fiction authors take books from draft to completed product (including typesetting as well as editing). I’m a Professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading and the Independent Publishers Guild.
