  • I have enjoyed creative writing since my youth, writing poems and my first memoir ‘My 1981 Diary’ at the age of sixteen. I recently self-published this book on Kindle in 2024.

My 1981 Diary

Completing an MA in Writing Studies in 2003 marked the publication of my debut novella, ‘Maxine’, an experimental prose and poetry novella about a woman who travels back in time. This formed my dissertation. It was published by Bluechrome Publishing in 2005.

This book is currently out of print and sold secondhand only.

I continued with my first collection of poems,  ‘Men Hate Blondes’ published by Original Plus in 2009. This books is currently out of print and available to view on Google Books only.

Men Hate Blondes

Delving into family history, I authored a memoir, ‘When Robert Met Mouse’, chronicling the early lives of my artist parents, unfolding their relationship when they first met at Art College in 1960s London.

I self-published this memoir with lulu.com in 2019. It is a charity book where all proceeds go to the charity Shelter.

This book is available online.

When Robert Met Mouse

Recently, I’ve unveiled a collection of adult fairytales, written and illustrated in 1995. These timeless tales offer readers a glimpse into my imaginative world and a passion for storytelling and illustration.

Shadows and Fury

I have authored further books that have not yet been published. Currently, I’m in the process of preparing and editing my latest collection of experimental poems, “A Week in Prague,” first written in 2002.

I am currently writing my autobiography about my life through art.

I’ve always had a passion for writing memoirs, fiction, poetry and prose.

From 2002 to 2010, I served as the editor of Neon Highway Poetry Magazine. During that time, I published many poems. I also organised themed poetry readings featuring both local and guest poets, with support from the Arts Council. Some notable guest poets for Liverpool included Allen Fisher at the Walker Art Gallery, Steve Sneyd at the Planetarium, Bill Griffiths in the Hornby Room at Central Library, and Geraldine Monk at the 33-45 Club, among many others.

While studying and engaging with poetry and poetics at Edge Hill College, I became a member of the Edgehill Poetry and Poetics Research Group, led by Professor Robert Sheppard.

I’ve ventured into the world of sound projects with my works. My sound projects include  “Clubbing,” “Men Hate Blondes,” “Oval Blue,” “Blacestonia,” and “Poems from Maxine.” I’ve also collaborated on projects such as “Points of Reference” at Edge Hill College including poetry performances, “The Oval Blue” and “The Sacred Way”.

I have read my poetry at public readings with PPRG Edge Hill, Literature North West, Neon Highway, and Give Poetry a Chance.

My poems have been published in journals:

Peggy’s Blue Skylight, Stride, Pages, Smoke, Fire, The Journal, The People’s Poet, and The Marymark Press.

Anthologies:
Give Poetry a Chance
Listening to the Birth of Crystals

My work has also been published online for various projects such as:
