I am a literary translator working from Swedish and Russian into English, with a focus on contemporary fiction, children’s fiction and narrative non-fiction. I hold an MA in translation theory and practice (the Scandinavian languages, Russian and French into English, UCL, 2014), and in 2015 I was awarded the British Centre for Literary Translation’s Emerging Translator mentorship for Russian.
As a translator, I have had the privilege of working on a wide range of texts, including works by Maxim Osipov (shortlisted for the 2020 Read Russia Prize), Katrine Marçal, Andrés Stoopendaal, Camilla Sten and Anders de la Motte. Ever-curious and keen to expand my practice, I am particularly drawn to creative, textured, thought-provoking works with a strong sense of rhythm and voice.
I am also editor of Swedish Book Review, an online journal that presents contemporary Swedish-language literature to the English-speaking world.
