Abigail Ardelle Zammit’s third poetry collection, Leaves Borrowed from Human Flesh, is just out with Etruscan Press (Wilkes University, US, 2025). She is a Maltese writer, educator, translator and editor whose poetry and reviews have appeared in international journals and anthologies. Abigail’s other poetry collections are Voices from the Land of Trees (UK: Smokestack, 2007), and Portrait of a Woman with Sea Urchin (London: SPM, 2015). She has co-authored two bilingual pamphlets (Half Spine, Half Wild Flower – Nofsi Spina, Nofsi Fjur Selvaġġ) and written a guidebook for post-secondary students: The Poetry Buddy – A Seamus Heaney Guide for Advanced Level Students. Abigail teaches English language and literature at the GF Abela Junior College. She taught Creative Writing at the University of Malta for ten years.
