Advertise in The Author – text listing

How to book your classified listing in The Author.

  • Get in touch with our editorial team (see below) before completing your purchase so we can check availability and confirm the cost of your advertisement.
  • When you have that, come back to this page and enter the VAT inclusive price in the field below.
  • Click Add to Basket, then follow the prompts to complete and pay for your order.

We’ll email you a VAT receipt as soon as your payment has been processed.


Before you book and pay for your advertisement, please send your advertisement copy to theauthor@societyofauthors.org so we can confirm your price for you.

We’ll need to know:

  • Whether your advertisement text should be plain or formatted (with bold, italic and underlined text)
  • In which edition(s) we should publish your advertisement (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter)
  • If we should display your text ad in a box (extra £12.50 plus VAT)

There’s a 10% discount for four advertisements booked and paid for in advance.

Rates

Plain text

  • Please submit copy by email.
  • 50p per word, minimum charge £10 plus VAT
  • £12.50 extra plus VAT for a box around the text

Formatted text

  • Please submit copy by email.
  • Formatting can include bold, italic and underlined text.
  • 60p per word, minimum charge £12 plus VAT
  • £12.50 extra plus VAT for a box around the text
