Warwickshire Group: Writing Routines and Rituals
17 September @ 19:30 - 21:00 BST
Free
All members welcome to join the Warwickshire Group on Wednesday 17 September from 7.30pm for an evening focused on writing routines and rituals.
The meeting will be held at The Oddfellows Hall, 22 New Street, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV31 1HP.
We have a panel of three local writers and Fran Hill will chair the session.
Anthony Ferner has had four novels published, the latest being Small Wars in Madrid (Fairlight Books, 2024).
Karen Storey has widely published fiction and non-fiction and her debut novel The Approval of Sheep comes out with Burton Mayers Books on 10 October 2025.
Celia Rees is an experienced writer of fiction for young people including Witch Child, shortlisted for the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize. Her first novel for adults – Miss Graham’s War – was published by HarperCollins in 2020.
Each panel member will share their own experience of writing routines and rituals, explaining what works – and doesn’t work – for them. Please bring your own ideas, experiences and questions to throw into the mix in the ensuing discussion.
There will be a break at ‘half-time’ for tea, coffee and biscuits. Please bring some coins to contribute towards this. The venue is fully accessible, including a car parking space by the main door. Â
