Join us for our Spring SoA Lates for the chance to meet and mingle with SoA staff and fellow members. This event will be hosted by Gyles Brandreth who will share tips and advice on being a writer.
Places are limited and subject to availability. Please note that there will be limited seating at this event.

- 6.35pm – Anna Ganley will host a short in conversation with Gyles Brandreth (20 mins). He will share tips about his journey so far.

Gyles Brandreth
Gyles Brandreth is a writer, broadcaster, actor, award-winning podcaster, former MP and Lord Commissioner of the Treasury, Chancellor Emeritus of the University of Chester and one of Britain’s most sought-after award ceremony hosts and after-dinner speakers. A star of Celebrity Gogglebox, a veteran of QI and Have I Got News For You, a reporter on The One Show, a presenter on Pointless, a frequent guest on The Wheel, Would I Lie to You? and Sunday Brunch, a regular on This Morning, and since the 1980s one of the mainstays of Just a Minute on BBC Radio 4, his recent books include a biography of Queen Elizabeth II: Elizabeth: an intimate portrait – a Sunday Times No 1 best-seller – and, marking the centenary of Winnie-the-Pooh in 2026, a new biography of A A Milne.

Our Events space is located on the ground floor of our office. We have a wheelchair ramp at the side entrance of the building. We also have an accessible toilet by the side entrance.
