SoA Author Photos Day – Birmingham

SoA members are offered the chance to have a professional author photo taken by photographer Paul Stringer for a fraction of the usual cost. The usual price for professional headshots is around £200 or considerably more for a longer studio session.
Come and update your headshot in Birmingham – this is offered at a discounted price of £40 for SoA members and £60 for non-members on a first come, first served basis to members.

What do you get?
- You’ll be given a 10-minute slot.
- Basic light retouching included (general lightening, darkening, crop and portrait softening as needed) to your chosen photo.
Need to know
- Licence for usage. Your photo can be used across your social media channels, websites, press and PR.
- The licence does not include usage for above the line advertising or book jackets – please contact Paul Stringer for permission.
Getting to Zellig
Participants should make their way to Zellig’s Reception (access from car park, or from Gibb Street), and you will be collected in time for your slot. Please note, Zellig is the building nearest to Digbeth High Street, and is not the Custard Factory’s reception.

- Parking: Zellig have a car park on the corner of Floodgate Street and Digbeth High Street. It takes card payments, but other nearby car parking is also available. Zellig is also a short walk from New Street and Moor Street Station and Digbeth Coach Station.

Accessibility
- You can access Zellig step-free either from Gibb Street or the Zellig car park. Additionally, there is a lift up to the first floor of Zellig and a wheelchair accessible toilet is also available.

Feeling unwell?
We recommend the following:
- Staying home if you’re feeling unwell or have flu-like symptoms
