Sheffield Group meet-up

Join the Sheffield Group on Saturday 11 October from 2pm for their next meet-up at Sheffield Showroom, Paternoster Row, Sheffield, S1 2BX.

Come and bring your favourite writing pens and notebook, phone, tablet or laptop (if you want to write). We can use our creative time to write, be inspired by our surroundings, share book recs, play around with words, and talk (or not, whichever would be most comfortable for you).

About the organiser and access information

Hello! I’m Suzanne and my pronouns are she/her. I’m a neurodiverse LGBT+ author, and I’m the organiser for Sheffield SoA. This is what I look like:

Accessibility: An especial welcome to those managing a disability, or who are neurodiverse. I hope the following helps you in making a decision about attending.

• The Sheffield Bus station is a short distance away.  The nearest rail station is the Sheffield Rail Station.  The nearest tram stop is the rail station stop on the blue line.

• You can find the Showroom accessibility arrangements here: Accessibility Policy | Showroom Cinema
• The cafe may have a large number of people inside, it can depend on the day.
• The venue may play background music; if you would like to access a quiet space, you can ask staff.
• All public areas are accessible by those using mobility aids, through ramps and lifts.
• There is limited Blue Badge parking on Paternoster Row and Brown Street, there is additional accessible parking at the Q-park on Charles Street.
• There are accessible loos on site.
• Assistance dogs are welcome.
• You can take a break or leave whenever you want.  The event is an informal social, so you are free to come and go as it helps you best.

Local group meet-ups are free to attend. To join us, click the Going button below and enter your details in the RSVP form so we have an idea of how many people are planning to attend.
