Feel Good Friday – Transforming doubt into creativity
18 September @ 11:00 - 11:45 BST

As writers, do we constantly juggle inspiration with self-doubt? Can this lead us to question every word we write, even when we have a track record of being successfully published? How does this impact our output and ability to cope with the inevitable rejections all writers face? Is self-doubt a necessary part of the creative process, and can we learn to make it a friend rather than an enemy?
This session led by writer, Jenny Mitchell is for any writer who has felt their work isn’t good enough or who has moments of self-doubt, especially after facing rejection. The workshop will be non-judgemental whilst still asking participants to challenge themselves.

What will this session cover?
- How do we recognise self-doubt and not dismiss our work because of it?
- What is at the root of self-sabotage?
- Are there any events, feedback or people that set our work off course?
- How do we find ways to ‘disobey’ them so that we continue to write?
- If we do all of this, can we access more power and creativity?
