Ian Rankin, OBE, DL, FRSE is a crime writer whose Inspector Rebus novels have been adapted as a television series. He has won many awards for his writing including the Crime Writers’ Association Diamond Dagger Award, Specsavers National Book Award for Outstanding Achievement and Edgar Award for best novel. In 2015 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and was awarded an OBE for services to literature.
