Sir Alan Ayckbourn, CBE is an Olivier and Tony Award-winning playwright. He has written numerous plays that are staged throughout the world including Absurd Person Singular and The Norman Conquests. Artistic Director of the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough for 39 years, he has also worked extensively in London’s West End and is considered to be one of the most performed living English playwrights.
