Morgan Greensmith is a Devon-based, London-born author of all things prose, poetry and audio drama. They have won several awards for their work in the audio world, in writing, acting, and directing. They have a BA in English & Classics, and an MA in Creative Writing, both from the University of Exeter.

In 2021, Greensmith’s debut audio drama, The Attic Monologues, began releasing, shaping their voice in queer horror-fantasy with a strong romantic subplot.

Greensmith’s work is featured in several anthologies, including The Unnamed Anthology Podcast and Tranthologies. Their most recent- and first published prose piece- was in Ella T Holmes’ second collection, Why Aren’t You Dead Yet? : Disability in Dystopia.

In 2025, they were selected from over 2400 applicants for a place on Penguin UK’s WriteNow Scheme, which mentors under-represented writers. Through this, they worked closely with editor Linas Alsenas on their debut manuscript for a year.

Their debut manuscript, Slipchild, is an upper YA fantasy following a closeted trans boy who grapples with being kicked out of his portal fantasy world and having to come of age back on Earth.

Greensmith is disabled, neurodivergent, and queer; their focus above all is to craft stories and connect with readers on these themes through fantastical lenses.

They work at a prominent bookshop in Exeter, and have done events with Exeter UNESCO City of Literature, Waterstones, and the University of Exeter.
