About Camilla
Best known for her Pip and Posy stories (illustrated by Axel Scheffler) and the Peekaboo series (illustrated by Ingela P Arrhenius), Camilla is the creator of inventive, eye-catching books beloved by families round the globe, with sales of over 40 million copies worldwide. She was a co-founder of pioneering children’s publisher Nosy Crow and is an official ambassador for the National Year of Reading. She has appeared on several podcasts, including the Cbeebies Parenting Download and Babyzone Best Beginnings.
Keynotes and workshops
Camilla believes passionately that instilling the love and habit of sharing books in the baby and toddler years is the key to reading for pleasure, to literacy and to life chances. A dynamic and inspiring keynote speaker, she also runs workshops for early years leaders, educators and librarians, exploring the benefits and importance of home shared reading, with the aim of giving delegates an achievable, practical toolkit to get families reading.
