Saa is a writer and researcher whose work has taken her across Afghanistan, Syria, Kenya, Turkey and beyond, listening to people’s stories and trying to understand how lives are shaped by conflict, displacement and hope. Alongside her writing, she works internationally in research and strategic communications, with a particular interest in communities affected by violence and migration.

Her fiction and creative non-fiction are inspired by the quiet, often overlooked moments that reveal our shared humanity. She is drawn to stories about belonging, resilience, memory and the unexpected relationships that help us find our way.

She recently completed the University of Cambridge Creative Writing Programme, where her work was awarded a distinction. Her first children’s book project, The Adventures of Puddles the Cat, draws on the extraordinary journey of a much-loved cat who travelled with her across several countries, exploring friendship, home and what it means to care for one another.

Originally from India and now based in London, Saa spends as much time as she can walking in the countryside and looking for stories in everyday life.
