About me
I am an author, mathematics educator and artist, working at the intersection of storytelling, creativity and learning. My work brings together narrative, visual expression and mathematical ideas to create engaging and accessible experiences for a wide range of audiences.
Work and practice
Alongside my writing, I have an established career in mathematics education, where I use storytelling as a powerful tool to communicate ideas and inspire curiosity. I design and deliver workshops, talks and learning experiences that connect history, culture and mathematics, both in schools and through public engagement.
As an artist, I explore themes of memory, place and connection through painting and visual work, creating pieces that often reflect layered narratives and lived experience.
Writing and projects
I am the author of Mathematical Adventures! and Peculiar Deaths of Famous Mathematicians, books that use storytelling to bring mathematics to life for younger audiences. I also run the Mathematics with Friends blog, an evolving project exploring mathematics through shared stories and conversations, with a book currently in development.
My current work continues to explore the relationship between narrative and learning through writing, workshops and creative practice.
