The SoA’s mission is to empower professional authors and their estates with knowledge, support and community, and to lobby industry and government for an environment that helps sustain and nurture the careers of creators and their work. Your 500-word statement is your opportunity to show why these aims are important to you, and how you would help to drive it. You might want to identify some key challenges and opportunities that you feel are facing the Society of Authors in the year ahead. You might have some experience or views about improving inclusivity, diversity and representation that you would like to implement in your role on the Management Committee. And you could tell us about how your involvement with the SoA has had an impact on you. Above all, this is your chance to say what you want to achieve in your role as a Management Committee member.
