My latest novel Test Kitchen was published by Corsair in 2024, and my debut, The Glasgow Coma Scale, came out in 2014. I am currently working on a third novel and a collection of stories. Glasgow-born and now living in London, I studied English Literature at the University of Glasgow and have an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia. I am represented by Becky Thomas at Lewinsohn Literary Agency.

In my day job, I provide editorial support for galleries and institutions, and have over 15 years’ experience in copy-editing and proofreading publications for Tate, the V&A, Southbank, Somerset House, the RIBA and several others. I enjoy the details-orientated nature of these tasks, as well as learning more about the art world in each project. As a copy-writer I have produced text for Glasgow’s Sonica festival of audiovisual art and spinoff events since 2017.

In 2024 I founded the Brunswick East Book Salon, an irregular series of panel conversations with authors, through which I learned much about event organisation, coordination, interviewing techniques and publicity!
