Writers of Essex: Turning your nerdery into non-fiction

7 March @ 12:00 - 14:00 GMT

Join Writers of Essex online on Saturday 7 March from 12pm for a talk with James Batchelor about all things non-fiction writing!

Turning your nerdery into non-fiction:

We all have our passions, but have you ever considered that yours could be the perfect starting point for a book. From your favourite period in history, to that obscure British sitcom you can quote word-for-word, to your preferred niche in the world of video games, there’s an audience for any non-fiction book. You just need to find the right opportunity. In his talk, James Batchelor will share his own experience, offer advice on how to get started as a non-fiction author, and answer your questions about turning your hobbies into hardbacks.

James Batchelor is an Essex-based author, with four books published since 2020 (plus two he produced just for his children). He is the writer behind White Owl Books’ gaming tomes The Best Non-Violent Video Games and The History of the Pokemon Games, as well as urban fantasy thrillers Wandless and Blow The House Down.

This will take place on Zoom.

Looking forwards to seeing you there. All members welcome!
