I am an educator having been a teacher, headteacher, school inspector and school improvement adviser. Now semi-retired, I spend my time reading or writing.

I published my memoir, Coconut, an Amazon best seller, in 2021 and my historical fiction novel, The Stolen Daughter, which made the Historical Writers Association Crown Awards Long-list in 2025.
