SoA in Scotland: Inverness Festive Lunch

Join Society of Authors in Scotland members at our upcoming in-person festive lunch on Saturday 13 December from 12.30pm at the Beaufort Hotel, 11 Culduthel Road, Inverness, IV2 4AG.

The price per head is £35 for three courses, and drinks are not included in the price. A bar is available for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. No refunds will be available once bookings close due to the venue’s policy.

Please choose your preferred dish for each course and email them to member-volunteer SJ Groenewegen at soainscotland@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Highland Festive Lunch’. Please include any questions or dietary needs, including allergies, in your email so that we can liaise with the venue.

Festive gifts

We’ll be holding the traditional exchange of books during the lunch. If you would like to take part, please bring along a wrapped-up book to put into the pile others can pick from. This is a great opportunity to share something you’ve written with fellow writers.

Accessibility

The venue is accessible, and parking is available on-site. Lunch will be held on the same floor as the entrance.

Getting to venue

The Beaufort Hotel is a 12-15 minute walk from Inverness train station through the old town to the castle and up past the BBC Scotland and BBC Alba studios.

Tickets will be on sale on a first come, first served basis until Sunday 30 November, or until they run out. Numbers are limited so don’t delay.
