Jan Woodward is a freelance journalist and writer. Her main interests are politics, philosophy and the environment. She initiated her own Green Watch newspaper column in the late 80s and was questioning bee losses at that time, along with other environmental topics that have become critical issues today.

She had her first political poetry collection ’52 Weeks’ published during the pandemic which is available through Housmans Bookshop. She has poetry published in various formats such as Resurgence and Economist, Visual Verse: An Anthology of Art and Words and the Poetry Archive. She is a member of the NUJ, the SOA, the Women’s Environmental Network and the Women Poets’ Network.
